Oberharz am Brocken (dpa / sa) - In a fire in a single-family house, a person died and a man was seriously injured on Monday in Oberharz am Brocken (Harz district).
When the rescue workers arrived in the evening, the house in the Hasselfelde district was already completely on fire, as the police announced.
A person was found lifeless and died on the scene.
He or she has not yet been identified.
The 63-year-old house owner was seriously injured and taken to hospital, the police said.
The extinguishing work continued on Monday evening.
The cause of the fire is according to the information unclear.
