Doha (AP) - Champions League winner FC Bayern Munich will also have to contest the final of the Club World Cup without midfielders Leon Goretzka and Javi Martínez.

"Leon and Javi will not follow," said coach Hansi Flick on Monday evening in Doha after Bayern's 2-0 win in the semifinals against Al Ahly from Egypt.

National player Goretzka and the Spaniard Martínez recently had to be in quarantine after being infected with the corona virus.

"It's a shame because they both wanted to come too," said Flick.

It is important, however, that both professionals can train in Munich and possibly be available again in the Bundesliga game against Arminia Bielefeld next Monday.

In the final of the Club World Cup, Bayern will meet Tigres UANL from Mexico in Qatar this Thursday.
