Several people have suffered from hair loss after being infected with the coronavirus.

According to dermatologist Mohammad Alimohammadi, hair loss can be linked to the more severe variant of the viral disease, but this is not something to worry about.

- During the first wave in March 2020, many people became ill.

Several sought care due to hair loss three to four months after the infection.

It is quite typical for this variant of hair loss that it comes as a delay after the body has been subjected to psychological or physical pressure.

"No need to worry"

In most cases, the hair comes back but it can take its time - sometimes several months.

There are currently no treatments that healthcare can offer.

- In most cases, nature solves this by itself so that the hair growth will come back, says Mohammad Alimohammadi and continues:

- If you have other symptoms such as fatigue, it may be worthwhile to make a doctor's visit.

This is to see if there is any imbalance in the body or in the thyroid gland.

Hair loss is not one of the most common symptoms of covid-19, but some have also developed skin rashes during the viral disease.
