Tuttlingen (dpa / lsw) - Some crematoria in the southwest have felt the effects of the corona pandemic.

In Tuttlingen, for example, 158 significantly more cremations were recorded in December than in previous years, as crematorium manager Armin Zepf said.

"That went to the substance."

Currently, however, the situation has relaxed again.

According to the city, there was also a clear upward trend in Pforzheim.

In 2019 there were around 5403 cremations in the city crematorium, last year there were 6215. This corresponds to an increase of 15 percent.

In Stuttgart, on the other hand, there was no increase in cremations.
