08 February 2021The women's combined, first race of the Alpine Ski World Championships in Cortina 2021, will not be held today due to an intense snowfall that has hit the Venetian resort in the past few hours.

Due to the bad weather the two heats were reversed, with the slalom scheduled at 11 and the Super-G at 14.30.

But in the night and in the early hours of the morning the snow continued to fall profusely, forcing the organizers to cancel.

The start of the world championship has therefore been postponed which, weather permitting, will start tomorrow with the women's Super-G (10.30) and the men's Super-G (13).

Updates will follow on the date of the recovery of the women's combined postponed today.
