Berlin (dpa) - Clinic employees who are particularly stressed are to receive a bonus of up to 1500 euros per person by the end of June as recognition in the corona pandemic.
According to information from the German Press Agency, this comes from a submission by Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) for the so-called Corona Cabinet of the Federal Government this Monday.
The newspapers of the Funke media group reported on it first.
The federal government is making available a total of 450 million euros.
The second wave of the corona pandemic placed many hospitals and their employees with an even greater burden than the first, according to the template.
The individual clinics should name the employees who are particularly exposed to corona and distribute the bonus.
Not only caregivers but also cleaning staff should be able to be taken into account.

Clinics with more than 500 beds are to be used in more than 50 Covid 19 cases, smaller houses from 20 Covid cases.
Already last year there were corresponding bonuses with a law passed in the Bundestag in September.
100 million euros were made available for clinics with many corona patients.
The premium should be up to 1000 euros.
In the collective bargaining agreement for the public service for municipalities and the federal government, unions and employers also decided in October a one-time special corona payment for all employees and a care allowance of 70 euros from March 2021, which is to be increased to 120 euros a year later.
The allowances in intensive care medicine and for rotating shifts have been increased.
For example, a 50-year-old intensive care nurse on a rotating shift with 25 years of professional life increases her gross income from 3850.21 euros to 4075.98 euros per month from April 1, 2021 and one year later to 4193.50 euros.
A nurse with seven years of experience should then come to 3568.44 euros.
According to the hospital company, around 150,000 people infected with corona have been treated in German hospitals since the beginning of the pandemic.
Most of the new admissions were in mid-December.
For weeks, the number of intensive care patients had been above or around 5000 at the time, currently it is almost 4000. The hospital company had requested further financial aid.

From the point of view of the clinics, an existing rescue package from the coalition in the pandemic is insufficient - there are compensation payments for lost income due to canceled other treatments beyond Covid-19.
But these were not enough.
With the Hospital Financing Act passed in September, the coalition had pledged billions of dollars to almost 2,000 clinics beyond the Corona crisis.
