35 students and 7 from the staff at Finnbacksskolan in Lycksele have been found infected with covid-19.

As of the fourth of February, the school has had distance learning.

Sebastian Harmouche thinks that the school should have switched to distance education earlier and he wishes he had received more information about the infection situation.

His mother Jessica Åman agrees and hopes that the school will continue with distance learning.

- I hold my breath as a parent so that they do not go back to teaching in school.

I think the information was deficient and the feedback has not worked.

There has been a concern among us parents, says Jessica Åman.

The spread of infection was rapid

Anna-Karin Grahn is the principal at Finnbacksskolan and she thinks that the school has done enough to inform the parents.

- Every time we have found out that someone has been found infected, we have written it on our platform, she says.

The principal believes that it has not closed the school before because there have been no signs of the spread of infection before.

- We have had a few isolated cases during the autumn and we did not see any spread of infection until there were very many who were infected, she says.
