The Qatari team Al-Duhail won fifth place in the FIFA Club World Cup, which is currently being held in the Qatari capital (Doha), after its 3-1 victory over South Korean Ulsan Hyundai, on Sunday, in a match to determine the fifth and sixth places in the tournament, which witnessed an exceptional event.

Edmilson Jr. opened the scoring for Al Duhail in the 21st minute, before Yoon Pete Garam tied for Ulsan in the 63rd minute.

Ulsan, who is participating in the tournament for the second time, after winning the AFC Champions League last year, did not congratulate the equalizer very much, after Mohamed Muntari restored the lead for Al Duhail in the 66th minute.

The host team eliminated Ulsan's hopes of returning to the match, after Al-Moez Ali scored the third goal in the 82nd minute;

Al-Duhail won the fifth place, achieving the second best ranking for the Qatari teams in the championship, after Al-Sadd won third place in the 2011 edition of the competition in Japan.

Al-Duhail, who is participating in the Clubs World Cup for the first time after winning the Qatari League last season, lost 1-0 to Al-Ahly in the second round of the tournament last Thursday, while Ulsan lost 1-2 to Tigres Unal of Mexico in the same round.

The match witnessed an exceptional event after the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) assigned the management of the match to a female refereeing team led by Brazilian, Edina Alves Batista, to become the first woman to lead a match in the Club World Cup.
