The approval rating of the Japanese cabinet of Suga fell below 40%.

In a telephone poll conducted by Kyodo News Agency against Japanese voters on the 6th and today (7th), the approval rating of the Suga cabinet was 38.8%, down 2.5 percentage points from the 9-10 survey last month.

This is the first time that the approval rating fell below 40% in a Kyodo News poll after the Suga Cabinet was launched last September.

The response that Suga did not support the cabinet rose 3.1 percentage points to 45.9%.

The decline in the approval rating of the Suga cabinet is attributed to the fact that the Corona 19 quarantine situation and the fact that the eldest son of Prime Minister Suga, who works for a satellite broadcasting company, recently received a high-ranking official from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, who held the company's license and license rights.

Prime Minister Suga said that he would start vaccinating Corona 19 in the middle of this month, but when asked if he thought the vaccination plan would go smoothly, 82.8% of the respondents said they were'uneasy'.

Prime Minister Suga extended the emergency situation in 10 regions except Tochigi Prefecture among the 11 metropolitan governments in which the Corona 19 emergency is in effect for one month until today (7th) next month, and today (7th) next month. When it comes to lifting the emergency, 70.5% of respondents said that it would be impossible.

52.8% of the respondents said it was not appropriate for the revised laws under the leadership of the Suga administration to penalize confirmed persons who refused to comply with or refused hospitalization in an emergency.

Meanwhile, regarding the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympic Games, which were postponed for one year to this summer, 47.1% of respondents said they should re-defer, and 35.2% said they should cancel.

It was found that only 14.5% of respondents said the event should be held as scheduled.

Regarding the format of hosting the Olympics, 49.6% chose'restriction of the number of spectators' and 43.1% answered that it is necessary to hold'no spectators'.

Party approval is still the highest at 36.7% of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, but it is down 4.5 percentage points from last month's survey.
