  [Explanation] The Spring Festival is approaching, and the reporter walked into the Overseas Chinese Farm in Qixing District, Guilin City, Guangxi, and stayed at the home of Zhang Tingniang, a returned Indonesian overseas Chinese under the "Overseas Residency Project".

Zhang Tingniang, his daughter and 70-year-old friend from Indonesia, Lu Jinlong, were busy making traditional Indonesian snack chrysanthemum cakes before the Spring Festival.

Zhang Tingniang skillfully took out the dough and put it into the chrysanthemum cake mold, and squeezed out a symmetrical chrysanthemum cake on a lightly greased baking tray. Her husband Chen Jingheng, who is more than 80 years old, used the oven to do the last process. Baking biscuits makes the whole family happy and full of flavor.

  [Explanation] In 1960, 18-year-old Zhang Tingniang and her 24-year-old husband returned to Guilin Overseas Chinese Farm after getting married in Indonesia.

According to her description, they lived in a tile house and the conditions were very difficult. During the day, she grew vegetables on the farm, while her husband reclaimed wasteland for farming in Majiafang. She delivered food to her husband at noon every day, and the husband entered Guilin Overseas Chinese Farm. Accounting work until retirement.

  [Explanation] In 2012, Zhang Tingniang and his wife moved into a 86-square-meter "Overseas Residence Project" new residence. Their living conditions have improved significantly. Today, four generations share the same family.

In recent years, she and her family have visited their relatives in Indonesia several times, and her younger brother has also visited their family in Guilin.

Now that it is not convenient to move around, they contacted them through online video to welcome the Spring Festival together.

  [Explanation] At the home of Chen Zhaotian, a returned Indonesian overseas Chinese from the "Overseas Residency Project", Chen Zhaotian took out Indonesian refreshing coconut fragrant nine-layer cakes, Indonesian mullet cakes, buttery chrysanthemum cakes and salty and crisp Indonesian twists and tea to entertain visitors .

Affected by his parents, Chen Zhaotian and his family retained Indonesian eating habits.

She bought the condiments for pastry made by mail from Indonesia.

  I came back to my motherland from Indonesia in 1960. It can be said that I grew up with the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the factory.

The houses I used to live in were bungalows, but now the houses are more spacious. What I feel most deeply I think I am the luckiest, and the luckiest is to return to China. Now it can be said to be relatively stable and happy.

  [Explanation] The hilly wasteland of the newly established Guilin Overseas Chinese Farm was uninhabited and the conditions were extremely difficult.

Today, Guilin Overseas Chinese Farm has invested more than 70 million yuan to build the "Overseas Residency Project", which has completely solved the problem of dangerous, old and difficult housing for farm workers and created a new model of "Overseas Residency Project" in Guangxi Overseas Chinese Farm.
