Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A young man fled his car in Dortmund from a police checkpoint and then crashed into a wall.

He suffered minor injuries, the police said on Sunday.

On Saturday night, the 23-year-old man raced through the city center at around 100 kilometers an hour so as not to be checked by the police.

He used the lane of the oncoming traffic and crashed into the wall of a church.

The drugged driver was slightly injured.

According to the police, he does not have a driver's license.
