Halle (dpa) - After the complete shutdown of train traffic on Sunday morning due to the weather, some Abellio Rail Central Germany trains are back on the road.

However, there are only very few, and they run very irregularly, said the railway company in the afternoon.

Specifically, this applies to the Halle – Merseburg – Naumburg – Jena – Saalfeld and Markranstädt – Naumburg – Weimar routes.

It still doesn't roll on most of the routes because of still heavy snowdrifts.

The routes from Halle, Dessau and Magdeburg towards Bernburg, Aschersleben and Halberstadt as well as the entire Harz region are still affected.

The connections from Stendal and Magdeburg towards Wolfsburg, the route from Halle towards Sangerhausen – Nordhausen – Leinefelde – Kassel, the Sangerhausen – Erfurt connection and the Unstrutbahn from Naumburg to Wangen.
