Zittau (dpa / sn) - A car parade against corona protective measures ended on Saturday in East Saxony for two participants with a sheet metal damage.

As the police department in Görlitz announced, a 53-year-old woman drove into a car driving in front of her on the Töpferberg in Zittau.

The passenger (32) of these cars was slightly injured.

The damage to both vehicles was estimated at around 1000 euros.

According to the police, the car parade had been registered under the motto «Preserve fundamental freedoms».

A good two dozen police officers accompanied the colonies on the federal roads 99 and 96 from Görlitz via Zittau to Bautzen.

A total of around 230 vehicles and around 500 people took part in the five-hour journey.

The column extended over a length of six kilometers, it said.

A man who wanted to ride his truck was banned from participating.

Only cars or vans were allowed.

In Bautzen, a driver filmed police officers out of the car, it was said.

The man received a complaint for using the cell phone behind the wheel.
