Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 26-year-old is said to have hit a 68-year-old woman in Dortmund and seriously injured her.
The man is now in custody, as the police announced on Sunday.
According to the police, the man kicked the woman several times in front of the door of an apartment building and hit her, even when she was already lying on the ground.
After initial investigations, the suspect attacked the woman "suddenly and because of a nullity".
A police spokesman did not provide any further details.
Officials arrested the 26-year-old on site.
The incident happened on Friday evening.
