Rostock (dpa / mv) - In order to cope with the Corona crisis, work in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania can also be carried out on Sundays and public holidays in certain areas until the end of February.

"The supply of the population with everyday goods and medical products should be guaranteed," said the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) on Saturday in Rostock.

In what is now the third exemption permit, employees are allowed to pack, deliver, unload and store everyday goods, medical products, medicines and other pharmacy items.

In the spring and for the second time on November 12th, the State Office approved exceptions to the ban on working on Sundays and public holidays.

The last general ruling expired on January 18.

The issue of a new general decree is necessary because the current infection rate with the coronavirus in Germany is still extremely dynamic.

In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, too, the infections are still at a high level. On Friday, the seven-day incidence in MV was 84.
