Erfurt (dpa / th) - The number of new corona infections per 100,000 inhabitants registered within one week continues to decrease slightly in Thuringia.
According to the Ministry of Health, the so-called seven-day incidence on Saturday was just under 144, the previous day this value was 146.
In Eisenach, the city with the lowest number of new infections in the country, the number fell to 42, from 47 the previous day.
The districts of Schmalkalden-Meiningen (around 284), Eichsfeld (243) and Hildburghausen (around 231) continued to show high weekly values.
484 new infections were recorded from Friday to Saturday in Thuringia;
24 hours earlier it was 628. The number of known deaths in connection with a Sars-CoV-2 infection rose by 39 to 2352. Since the pandemic began, 68,227 people in the Free State have been shown to have been infected with the corona virus.

According to the Ministry of Health, 65,321 people in the state had been vaccinated against the virus by Saturday;
20,537 had already received a second vaccination.
