The first vice president of the Propaganda and Propaganda Department died before Lee Jae-il of North Korea.



The Labor newspaper reported that Lee Jae-il, a former adviser of the Propaganda Department of the Party Central Committee, died of acute respiratory failure due to lung cancer at the age of 86 at 10:30 the night of the 4th.



The Chosun Central News Agency reported that General Secretary Kim Jong-un sent a wreath with deep condolences.



Former First Vice President Lee Jae-il was a former reporter for the Pyongyang Newspaper and served as the Director of the Publication Guidance Department, and has been the First Vice President of the Propaganda Department since 2004.



Former First Vice-President Lee served as General Secretary Kim Jong-un even in the elderly in his 80s, but after a visit to the Geumsusan Solar Palace in 2018, he did not appear on the official seats.
