In the past few days, in Chongqing's most prosperous Jiefangbei business district, the Youth Committee of the Chongqing Taiwan Business Association has initiated blood donation activities.

Many Taiwanese youths who stayed in the mainland to celebrate the New Year enthusiastically participated, hoping to greet the new year by donating blood without compensation.

This year is the first time that Yutaiqing collectively donated blood on the occasion of the Spring Festival.

In the long line outside the blood donation vehicle, there are new faces who donate blood for the first time, as well as "senior" volunteers.

Pan Jianwen, who donated blood for the first time in the mainland, said that it is very meaningful to do something for the compatriots in the mainland.

Chongqing son-in-law Pan Jianwen has been to the mainland for 12 years. This is his first Chinese New Year celebration in the mainland.

Staying in Chongqing for the New Year, the family has become the biggest concern of the youth in Yutai.

Pan Jianwen believes that this sacrifice is worthwhile for the prevention and control of the epidemic, "because everyone has a small family."

“The epidemic is not over yet. In order to prevent the previous efforts from being wasted, everyone still walks less.” Pan Jianwen told reporters that although he can’t return to his parents this year, he can call and video greetings, and save trouble.

The two sides of the strait are originally a family, wherever they celebrate the New Year, they are family.

"Stay is also to not miss the opportunities for development in the mainland in the post-epidemic era." Pan Jianwen currently runs several companies in Chongqing.

The project his company is currently involved in-the national Chongqing (Rongchang) pig big data center is listed by the local government as one of the "three major events" to be promoted during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

He believes that this is an important manifestation of the equal treatment enjoyed by Taiwanese companies and mainland companies.

Zang Mingyuan, who has lived in the mainland for 18 years, no longer remembers how many Spring Festivals he spent in the mainland.

"In the past, most of the Taiwanese friends around me chose to return to Taiwan to reunite with their families during the Spring Festival. In the past two years, many people will choose to take their families to Chongqing for the New Year." Zang Mingyuan said that cross-strait integration is the general trend.

Zang Mingyuan grew up in a military village in Taiwan.

Making dumplings, making rice cakes, keeping the year old, and welcoming the God of Wealth... Talking about the New Year customs in the dependent villages, Zang Mingyuan kept talking.

Zang Mingyuan said that even though he is on the mainland, he has the same desire for peace and happiness during the New Year.

As long as everyone is safe, it will be the same everywhere during the New Year.

According to calculations by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Chongqing Municipal Government, nearly 90% of Taiwanese businessmen in Chongqing stayed in Chongqing for the New Year this year.

Since the beginning of January 2021, the Chongqing Taiwan Affairs Office has visited a number of Taiwanese enterprises, and organized more than 30 Spring Festival celebrations and symposiums in different regions, and visited more than 800 Taiwanese compatriots from Taiwan.
