It was on Saturday morning that an explosion occurred in the Chartrons district of Bordeuax, France, which created a pressure wave that, according to the French newspaper Le Parisien, was felt throughout the neighborhood.

The explosion appears to have taken place in a garage and was probably caused by a gas leak.

The bang was so loud that an adjoining building collapsed and according to witnesses, several windows were smashed.

The fire brigade is now in place.

Three people are judged to be slightly injured and two people are missing.
