Schwerin (dpa / mv) - The districts and independent cities of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania earned several million euros less with speed cameras last year than they did in 2019. That was the result of a survey by the German press agency.

"In view of the Corona year, it is not surprising that there was less flash," said Christian Hieff, spokesman for ADAC Hansa.

There was significantly less travel, and many were no longer able to travel to work against the background of the increasing home office.

The Mecklenburg Lake District took around 4.6 million euros with speed cameras in 2020, a year earlier it was 7 million euros.

According to the district, with 176,432 warning and fines, around 76,000 fewer were imposed than in 2019.
