For several years, the slaughterhouse has received remarks about how the animals are treated.

It was after the county administrative board saw the films, which the Animal Rights Alliance submitted, that the decision to report to the police was made last week.

- We have made prosecution reports against four people who have been identified on the films.

The reports concern violations of the Animal Welfare Act or animal cruelty, says Henriette Bonde Nordström, head of the county administrative board's animal welfare unit.

Improper killing

In the films, the characters must have performed various acts, which fall under these crime headings.

Among other things, anesthesia and killing must not have taken place in the right way.

This is 141 hours of material that the county administrative board's administrator has had to look through.

"Terrible to see"

- It's awful to see.

I myself have not taken part in everything, but it is enough to see a little to be touched, says Henriette Bonde Nordström to SVT News.

It will now be the task of the police to investigate whether the persons have committed a crime.

The operation at the slaughterhouse is now down, and since the National Food Administration has been at the slaughterhouse and taken back its stamps, there is also no possibility for the slaughterhouse to sell the meat if the operation were to be resumed.

SVT Nyheter Skåne has unsuccessfully sought the slaughterhouse for a comment.
