Frankfurt / Main (AP) - The Berlin Volleys have messed up their dress rehearsal for the volleyball Champions League.

The team lost the Bundesliga match at United Volleys Frankfurt on Saturday, despite a 2-0 set lead, 2: 3 (25; 21, 25:20, 23:25, 23:25, 10:15) and thus lost two valuable ones Points in the battle for second place in the table.

On Tuesday and Wednesday the Berliners will play in Kazan against Volley Ljubljana and hosts Zenit Kazan for a place in the knockout round of the Champions League.

In the empty Fraport Arena in Frankfurt, the BR Volleys were lagging behind for a long time in the first set (12:16).

A double block from Renan Michelucci and Tim Carle put the guests in the lead at 22:21 for the first time.

The next race to catch up in set three was unsuccessful for the BR Volleys.

Although they came from 12:20 to 22:23, but in this case the Hessians had the better end for themselves.

The Frankfurters took the momentum with them to reach the tiebreak.
