Three men aged 19 to 30 were tried on Wednesday in immediate appearance before the Rennes Criminal Court in a case of drug trafficking, reports

The vehicle in which they were traveling had been intercepted by customs officials on January 29 at the Gravelle toll, on the border of Ille-et-Vilaine and Mayenne.
A CT scan was performed on the three individuals and revealed the presence of 200 cocaine capsules in the stomachs of two of them.
The two mules had ingested a total of 1.7 kg of white powder, the daily said.
One of them and the driver were sentenced to one year in prison.
The second mule, in a state of recidivism, receives a sentence of 18 months in prison.
The three individuals will also have to pay a customs fine of 45,000 euros.
