05 February 2021 The first 249,600 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrive in Italy early tomorrow.

The doses will then be stored in the Pratica di Mare hub and in the following days, barring unforeseen events, they will be distributed in the administration centers in the various regions.

The doses were initially expected to arrive in Italy on February 15th.


On Tuesday, barring unforeseen events, the under-55 vaccination campaign with doses of AstraZeneca will begin. Estimates on AstraZeneca's serum administrations foresee over one million and one hundred thousand doses to members of school and university staff, teaching and non-teaching staff (up to 55 years), over half a million to the armed and police forces (including firefighters and municipal ), over 97,000 doses to inmates, prison and prison police personnel.
