Erfurt (dpa / th) - Thuringia's state government is working on a Corona step-by-step plan, according to Prime Minister Bodo Ramelow (left).

It is expected to be passed by the cabinet in the coming week and then presented to the state parliament, said Ramelow of the German press agency in Erfurt.

"That will be a timetable, and we can then say more reliably what is possible in the coming weeks."

In this approach, Thuringia is based on the states of Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, which have already presented step-by-step plans, said Ramelow.

"And I would like it best if we had something like this nationwide."

He wants to speak out for this in the next Prime Minister's Conference with Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) on February 10th.

"I want a binding timetable for Germany."

Ramelow does not share the skepticism about such an approach, which exists in neighboring Bavaria, among others.

In Thuringia, the first thing to do is to determine which easing is possible depending on the development of the infection, its dynamics and the resilience of the health system - or not, according to the Prime Minister.

Ramelow emphasized that there are not yet any specifications for the stages with certain seven-day incidence values.

"We'll create the framework first."

Ramelow can imagine that with a certain infection level, the municipalities can decide for themselves which easing is possible.

"Conversely, national guidelines could apply to certain values," said the head of the red-red-green minority government.

Several chambers of commerce in Thuringia have requested a step-by-step plan and made their own suggestions.

The state government in Schleswig-Holstein had drawn up a step-by-step plan that provides for opening steps in four stages from mid-February.

In Thuringia, the lockdown with the closure of schools, most shops and hairdressing salons will initially apply until February 19.

The state government had surprisingly extended it by five days this week.

Thuringia is currently the state with the highest levels of infection in Germany.
