Berlin (dpa / bb) - The Berlin police went out for an operation in Schöneberg on Thursday evening.

A local resident alerted the police about a possible explosion around 8:30 p.m., said a police spokesman on Friday morning.

Two people were arrested.

The commissioner for explosives offenses at the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) took over the investigation.

The police initially did not provide any further information.

Several media had previously reported on the operation.
