Hockenheim (dpa / lsw) - A construction worker was thrown through the windshield of his vehicle in a truck accident on the A6 near Hockenheim and was not injured.

The 50-year-old sat on Thursday evening in a parked construction site vehicle that secured a night construction site, the police said.

He was about to get out when a truck crashed into his vehicle from behind.

The force of the impact threw the construction worker through the window onto the hard shoulder.

The truck tipped on its side and stopped across all lanes.

The driver was slightly injured.

There was property damage of around 220,000 euros.

The A6 was closed for a few hours.
