Jeff Reine-Adelaide, the attacking midfielder of OGC Nice and captain of the Bleuets victim of a ligament rupture in the knee during Monaco-Nice on Wednesday, will be operated next Tuesday, announced Friday his coach Adrian Ursea.

"An operation is planned for next Tuesday. We all think of him, who is again struck by an injury feared by footballers," said the technician from Nice at a press conference.

"We are all super sad for Jeff who had already suffered a ligament rupture in the other knee, a year ago. The hardest part was hearing his cries and tears at Louis-II", confessed Jean-Clair Todibo, the last Nice recruit.

"JRA" was injured Wednesday in Monaco, in extra time of the match lost by his team (2-1), following an aerial duel with Caio Henrique.

So in Lyon, in December 2019, Reine-Adélaïde had an identical injury, but in the right knee, which deprived him of competition for eight months.
