Berlin (dpa) - FC Bayern does not want to be held up long by Hertha with the Khedira effect on its way to the sunny Qatar for the next big title.

The game of the league leaders in the Bundesliga in Berlin's Olympic Stadium was even brought forward by half an hour.

From the capital, the Munich team will continue to Doha for the Club World Cup that evening.

A victory to better manage travel stress would come in handy for the German record champions this Friday (8 p.m. / DAZN).

The only thing is that the Berliners who have not won five games don't want to play.

"We're not going to the pitch to somehow survive the 90 minutes," said coach Pal Dardai.

HERTHAS NEW HOPE: ... is called Sami Khedira.

33 years old, left the Bundesliga over ten years ago, played for Real Madrid and Juventus Turin.

With all his experience and leadership skills, Khedira should bring order to the Hertha game.

What the 2014 world champion lacks: Match practice.

Only one use in the entire past year.

Plus the late transfer on Monday.

Coach Dardai still left open whether he would bring the new Hertha star.

On the bench, Khedira certainly won't help, especially not against Bayern.

After all: Hertha scored points in five of the last eight Bundesliga games against Munich in one win and four draws - Dardai sat in the coaching bench four times.

A LEWANDOWSKI AGAINST A WHOLE HERTHA: Sometimes numbers say a lot.

Hertha BSC has scored 25 goals in its 19 league games so far this season.

Bayern Munich's world footballer Robert Lewandowski comes alone on 24.

AN ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE ENTIRE COMPETITION: "We want to get the fifth victory in a row in Berlin and thus send a signal to the Bundesliga that we are back on track."

(Bayern coach Hansi Flick)

ON THE WAY TO THE NEXT TITLE: The ideal plan: play, win, shower, take off.

Because on Monday, FC Bayern will compete in the Club World Cup.

This is where the next success should come after the triple and two Supercup victories.

"Our team and Hansi Flick attach great importance to this title," said CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

A MOTHER FOR THE HERTHA: If that's not a sign!

Two decades ago, Hertha managed a 2-1 win against FC Bayern.

The goal scorers: Dardai and his new assistant at Hertha, Andreas “Zecke” Neuendorf.

BAVARIAN STAFF: Javi Martínez and Leon Goretzka are absent after positive corona tests.

Whether they can travel to Qatar remains to be seen.

The injured Alexander Nübel and Tanguy Nianzou are not in Berlin either.
