After shooting in Bergheim in the Rhein-Erft district with a dead person, the police are investigating the background to the crime.

On Thursday evening, a 33-year-old was killed in the city near Cologne.
According to the investigators, two other men, aged 29 and 44, were seriously injured.
A 43-year-old is said to have shot the three men in the course of an argument.
According to media reports, the incident happened on the street in the parking lot of a former supermarket.

After an escape, the suspect was finally arrested "in a taxi near the police headquarters in Cologne," according to a statement from the investigators.
