Remscheid (dpa / lnw) - An 86-year-old man caused a rear-end collision in a parking garage in Remscheid and fell an unoccupied car about ten meters into the depth.

In the parked car that landed on the roof on the street and was completely demolished, there were no people, said a spokesman for the police in Wuppertal.

It is still unclear why the old man crashed into two parked cars on Friday morning and pushed a car through a grille in the outer wall on the top parking deck.

The 86-year-old suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

A passerby near the point of impact was also slightly injured.

The «Bild» newspaper had previously reported on it.
