Three men aged 40 to 50, who brought some 176 kilos of herbal cannabis from Spain to Ile-de-France, were arrested by the police overnight from Saturday to Sunday.

The investigators, who had been on their trail for two months, had no trouble picking them up in their room.

The drugs were hidden ... in tractor wheels, stowed in their van, parked in the hotel parking lot.

Its investigators had obtained "information on an individual likely to engage with accomplices in the importation of narcotic products from Spain to Île-de-France".

The investigators, thanks to telephone interceptions, became certain that the trio had left for a new convoy and proceeded to the arrest.

The investigation, now entrusted to an examining magistrate, will attempt to identify "customers in Île-de-France and suppliers in Spain," added the head of the Ofast branch in Versailles, which estimates the value merchant of the product “between 3,000 and 4,000 euros per kilo”.

A judicial investigation was opened on Wednesday and the three men were indicted for "importation of narcotics in an organized group, transport, possession, offer or sale, acquisition of narcotics and criminal association" and placed in pre-trial detention, according to a source judicial.
