Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - After an open dispute over the state's test strategy, Health Minister Manfred Lucha (Greens) and Culture Minister Susanne Eisenmann (CDU) want to present a concept to the public on Friday.

In principle, a test strategy could be agreed in the evening, said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health on Thursday evening.

However, detailed questions still need to be clarified.

The model should therefore only be communicated to the public on Friday.

It was a good, constructive conversation, said the spokeswoman.

Lucha and Eisenmann had an open exchange of blows about the test strategy.

It was also about the question of whether the rapid tests should only be carried out on an occasional basis, for example in old people's and nursing homes, or whether they should be extended significantly to other professional groups.

Eisenmann had reproached Lucha for not providing enough corona test options, especially for teachers and educators, but also for professional groups such as police officers or supermarket cashiers.

The minister of education also sees the mass rapid tests as an opportunity to reopen daycare centers and schools more quickly.
