It was at the beginning of the pandemic that Tom Moore decided to raise money for British healthcare.
He then promised to go 100 laps with his walker in the garden if he could get in 1,000 pounds. However, the collection did not stop there.
After great commitment from all over the world, Tom's fundraising reached a full 32 million pounds, corresponding to around 367 million kronor.
"Captain Tom" also inspired other similar initiatives and was knighted by the Queen of Britain, Elizabeth II.
