Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - The seven-day incidence in the southwest has continued to decrease slightly.

This means that the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants nationwide within a week is now 63.5, as the State Health Office announced on Thursday (as of 4:00 p.m.).

On Wednesday the value was 66.9.

Compared to the previous day, there were 1244 new corona infections in Baden-Württemberg and 64 new deaths in connection with Covid-19.

This increased the number of confirmed infections to 297,885 and the number of deaths is now 7,320. 266,385 people are now considered recovered.

The districts of Calw (102.4), Tuttlingen (110.8), Waldshut (111.1), the Ortenaukreis (117.9) and the urban district of Heilbronn (148.5) still have an incidence of more than 100.

The incidence in 26 districts is between 50 and 100. In 13 districts the incidence is below 50.

According to the intensive care register of the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine (Divi), 365 corona patients were in intensive care units in Baden-Württemberg on Thursday, 217 of which were invasively ventilated.

87.2 percent of the 2,452 operable intensive care beds were occupied.

According to the Robert Koch Institute in Berlin, the vaccination rate (first vaccination) in Baden-Württemberg is 2.3 percent (as of Thursday, 10:00 a.m.).
