Voerde (dpa / lnw) - Because of a roof fire, a retirement home in Voerde (Wesel) has been evacuated.
75 residents are registered in the home, said a police spokesman on Thursday morning.
"We haven't had any injuries so far."
How many employees are in the building is still unclear.
The fire was reported around 3:45 a.m. in the Friedrichsfeld district.
The fire brigade and police forces were still on site on Thursday morning.
The police were initially unable to provide any information about the cause and amount of the damage.
