Frankfurt / Main (dpa) - Because he is said to have killed his wife and disposed of her corpse in the garbage, a 38-year-old man will stand before the Frankfurt Regional Court from Friday (9.30 am).

The public prosecutor's office accuses the German national of murder out of greed and low motives.

In an elaborate search operation, the police found bone particles that came from the woman at a landfill in the Rhine-Main area at the beginning of 2020.

The defendant had previously gotten involved in contradictions at a police station when he reported the 43-year-old missing.

The public prosecutor assumes that the accused wanted to clear the way for a relationship with another woman with the alleged act in October 2019 and to get possession of a condominium in Frankfurt and a holiday home in Spain.

The jury chamber has initially scheduled ten trial days until mid-April.
