Mainz (AP) - Mainz Honorary President Harald Strutz has again sharply criticized the chairman of the supervisory board, Detlev Höhne.

"Detlev Höhne is just not doing this club any good," said the former club boss of the Bundesliga soccer club Mainz 05 to the TV broadcaster Sky on Thursday.

“I would never have thought that he would presume to act like a president.

That is not the job of a supervisory board. "

Strutz justified his public criticism that he “did not want to sit idly by as Mainz 05 degenerated into a chaos club”.

The Mainz officials have been in trouble for some time.

Because of “not clearly defined statements” in the club statutes, the Bundesliga club had postponed its general meeting on Tuesday.

This was originally supposed to take place on February 9th, with elections for the chairmanship and supervisory board.

A new date has not yet been set.

There were uncertainties and disputes due to the number of applicants admitted by the electoral commission.
