Dortmund (AP) - Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund survived the cup fight on Tuesday against SC Paderborn (3-2 after extra time) without injuries.
"That was a very intense game and definitely half an hour too long," said BVB coach Edin Terzic on Thursday.
"But nothing dramatic happened."
Defense chief Mats Hummels, who missed the second division cup's round of 16, should be available again on Saturday at SC Freiburg (3:30 p.m. / Sky).
«He is one of our most important leaders.
We hope that Mats can play again, ”said Terzic, who indicated that he would continue to bet on Marwin Hitz in goal, even if the actual goalkeeper Roman Bürki should be available again.
“Marwin played because he's good.
He deserved it and did it well, ”said the BVB coach.
"We were very, very happy with his performance."
Bürki is currently suffering from a shoulder injury and has been represented in the last two competitive games by his Swiss compatriot Hitz.
Before that, Bürki had failed in some games.
