Emmanuel Macron has promised it: all French people who wish can be vaccinated by the end of the summer.

To achieve this objective, Jean Castex announced an acceleration of the vaccine strategy in the coming months, in particular to three audiences: - people over 75 years of age - those with a serious pathology and of course caregivers.

So that all those who are concerned receive their first injection, the Prime Minister announced 1.7 million additional appointments open in the coming days.

And it is with the new vaccine authorized in France: that of

AstraZeneca

, "

that we could reach the objective of 4 million people having received their first injection

 " specified Jean Castex.

A vaccine that could be administered to nursing staff on Saturday and which is, let us remember, much easier to store and inject than that of Pfizer and Moderna.

It can be administered by attending physicians.

To date, 1.6 million French people have already been vaccinated, recalled Jean Castex, this is more than the objectives set.

"

A new confinement is not justified

 "

The Prime Minister pointed to the stability of the number of contaminations but he calls for vigilance, in particular because the variants are actively circulating and they could threaten the balance now found thanks to the curfew, new border restrictions and the accelerating vaccination.

The government's objective is to do everything possible to avoid a re-containment.

A new containment can only be considered as a very last resort.

The situation does not justify it to date.
