Canal + and the Professional Football League (LFP) have reached an agreement for the encrypted channel to recover the vacant TV rights to Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 until the end of the season, the LFP announced on Thursday.
80% of French football TV rights were vacant since the failure of the Sino-Spanish broadcaster Mediapro this fall.
The agreement reached between Canal and the LFP only covers the end of the 2020-21 season.
