As RIA Novosti notes, COVAX announced plans to supply vaccines to African countries in a special letter on January 30.

Recipient countries were required to provide approved plans for vaccination campaigns for the population.

The volume of supplies scheduled for February will be enough to immunize 3% of Africans.

It is planned to send 600 million doses of vaccines to the continent by the end of the year.

Under COVAX, at least 2 billion doses of the drug are to be delivered to more than 90 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America by the end of 2021, which will make it possible to vaccinate 20% of the most vulnerable populations in these regions.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine agreed to receive the Pfizer vaccine in mid-February.
