Berlin (dpa / bb) - An 82-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car while crossing the lane in Lichtenrade and was seriously injured.
She was taken to a hospital for inpatient treatment, as the Berlin police announced on Thursday.
The woman had entered Buckower Chaussee on Wednesday afternoon at a place equipped with a pedestrian traffic light and specially marked as a pedestrian ford when a car turned left onto the street and caught her.
The 82-year-old fell and sustained a serious head injury.
The 20-year-old driver suffered a shock and was treated on an outpatient basis in the hospital.
Buckower Chaussee was partially closed until the evening.
