The mobilization paid off.

Wednesday evening, justice validated the takeover of 210 of the 235 employees of Earta, this adapted company from Pays-de-la-Loire specializing in the management of unsold press.

Finally, it is the offer of the business branch of APF France Handicap (ex Association des paralysés de France) that has been validated, said Didier Rio, the former manager of Earta.

Of the 235 employees, most of them with disabilities, 210 were taken over, the remaining 25 having been subject to retirement measures.

The company Earta, whose factories are located in Sarthe and Loire-Atlantique, had been placed in receivership in the fall of 2020 after the loss of its activity of managing unsold press for SAD, a subsidiary of the 'former press messenger Presstalis (now France Messagerie after filing for bankruptcy in April 2020).

Sheet metal production

"It is humanly enormous that there has not been any social breakdown in the current context and it is a real recognition for the employees to see that two large associations, the APF and the Adapei, really wanted to take over Earta after a social and industrial audit ”, reacted Didier Rio.

According to him, APF Entreprises should reorientate production on fine sheet metal and masks.

Founded in 2001, the Earta company welcomes workers with disabilities who are often victims of cranial traumas which have resulted in these people being partially unable to work.
