Few are wealthy people who donate all their money during their lifetime to charitable causes, and the famous billionaire Chuck Finney is one of those few who donated almost all of their wealth to charities and universities.

In the report, published by the French magazine "SaintePlus", writer Rose Sanchaz said that Chuck Feeney fulfilled the promise he made.

This billionaire was the subject of widespread attention, and reported by "Forbes" and the French magazine "Le Point", where he published his photo after he managed to amass a fortune estimated at 8 billion dollars.

Finney, 89, sees that he has fulfilled his ambition to become rich, and told Forbes that he wants to allocate his fortune - which he accumulated after his creation of the US retail giant, Duty Free Shoppers - to charity.

This American was always considering giving up his fortune to charity, so he created the "Atlantic Philantropies", which closed its doors after the money ran out.

Over the past four years, Finney decided to donate his wealth to charities, universities and institutions in all parts of the world, and he has allocated for himself and his wife two million dollars, to live the retirement period in peace.

During his life, Chuck Finney spent a lot of money solving problems around the world, such as bringing peace to Ireland, modernizing the health system in Vietnam, or transforming Roosevelt Island in New York into a technology hub, among many other things.

This philanthropist preferred to support the causes he sympathizes with.

And as the French newspaper "Corriere Internationale" reported, he donated a large portion of his fortune to advancing education and supporting human rights and the US health care law (ObamaCare).

This businessman was keen to keep his identity secret, which is the noblest thing he has done, unlike many other donors who seek to publicize their donations and vaunted them.

Despite this, he faced difficulties in keeping his generosity secret.

The humble life of a billionaire

And unlike all the wealthy who live comfortably, Chuck Finney - nicknamed James Bond Philanthropy - lives a modest life, although he makes a fortune selling luxury goods at airports.

He lives in a modest apartment in San Francisco, where he is known for his simplicity and modesty, and when he travels, he takes economy class, even though his family members enjoy business class seats on the same plane, according to the British newspaper "The Guardian".

One of the employees working with this billionaire says that his boss tried the life of luxury but later discovered that it was not suitable for him, he certainly lives a simple and humble life.

He went on to say that Finney was astonished to see other wealthy people spending their money on things that were not worth, without explicitly criticizing them.

He said that there is no harm in sharing money with the poor, and he urged the rich to shed light on global problems and contribute to finding solutions to them.

The writer says that Chuck Finney's generosity has inspired many wealthy people, including Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, to found the charitable movement "Giving Pledge," and they have pledged to devote most of their fortunes to charitable causes, either during their lifetime or after their death.
