In particular, as specified on the Kremlin's website, the issues of countering the coronavirus pandemic with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in the field of vaccination, including further deliveries of the Russian drug Sputnik V to Serbia, were substantively considered.

The leaders also gave a positive assessment of the mutually beneficial Russian-Serbian cooperation, noting the successful implementation of large-scale joint projects in the energy, transport and high-tech industries.

At the end of January, Serbian leader Aleksandr Vucic thanked Russia for supplying Sputnik V, a vaccine against coronavirus infection.

The Russian Direct Investment Fund signed an agreement with the Serbian government to supply 2 million doses of Sputnik V to the country, which will make it possible to vaccinate 1 million people.
