According to him, the Russian Foreign Ministry has prepared a "special video" about how illegal actions are carried out and suppressed in the West and how the police in Russia "react to the atrocities of demonstrators in the course of recent events."

The Minister noted that this was done so that the discussion with the West "was conducted on the basis of common sense and facts."

Lavrov said that the day before these materials were transferred to the Swedish Foreign Minister, OSCE Chairman-in-Office Ann Linde.

“Today I sent the same material to Brussels, to the high representative of the European Union for foreign policy, Mr. Josep Borrell, so that, while preparing for his upcoming visit to Moscow on Friday, he would also get acquainted with how we see an objective picture drawn up on the basis of specific facts from both sides, and not on the basis of unfounded statements, ”Lavrov said at a press conference.

In addition, Lavrov said that media coverage of demonstrations in Russia and the West suffers from obvious double standards.

Borrell is expected to make a working visit to Moscow on February 4-6.
