Berlin (dpa / bb) - After the evacuation of 18 houses due to a construction disaster in Berlin-Köpenick, 75 residents can no longer return to their apartments.

The house with number 12 has been released again, said the Treptow-Köpenick district office.

13 people were therefore able to move into their apartments again on Wednesday.

According to a district office spokeswoman, another 31 residents will be allowed to return to two more houses from Thursday morning.

This means that three houses are still closed, including the two buildings at risk of collapse on the excavation pit.

When the remaining tenants can return, the district office did not announce.

On Sunday a building pit was full of water.

At first the house next to it threatened to sag and the gable to break off.

A second house also turned out to be no longer safe.

18 houses in the street were evacuated, around 360 residents had to leave.

Gas, water, electricity and heat had to be switched off.

The Technische Hilfswerk (THW) has been securing the building since Sunday.

50 emergency services were also on site on Wednesday.
