A class 1 warning has been issued off the coast of Uppland in Uppsala County during the night until Thursday.

The snow is expected to fall until the middle of the day and become heavier in some areas.

- It is difficult to produce an exact forecast for this because they depend very much on the wind.

It can make it snow a lot in one place and a little in another, says Nils Holmqvist meteorologist at SVT.

Heavy snow showers are expected to provide 5-10 cm of snow and up to 15 centimeters of snow locally.

- What happens during the night until Thursday is that the wind turns a little and goes from northeast to straight north and it is advantageous for snow cannons to run down the Uppland coast then, says Nils Holmqvist.

May cause traffic delays

A class 1 warning means difficult weather that can cause certain risks to the public and disruption to some societal functions.

- If it gets worse than feared, there may be disturbances.

But otherwise it is a snowfall that should not have a major impact.

You have to slow down or walk a little more carefully.

All communications should go smoothly.

The bus may be a little late, says Nils Holmqvist.
