Nuremberg (dpa / lby) - The comparison of a Nuremberg souvenir dealer of the Corona measures with the Nazi era meets with incomprehension in the city.

Mayor Marcus König described the poster in the shop on the main market on Wednesday as “absolutely unacceptable”.

The city has no way of having the poster removed.

Hanging this up is neither punishable nor an administrative offense.

On the protest poster, the shop owner describes the main market, popular with tourists, as Adolf-Hitler-Platz, as it was called during the Nazi era.

Below that he asks whether he will have to sell Adolf Hitler souvenirs in the future.

"Any comparisons of the current situation with the Corona measures to the Nazi regime are prohibited, inappropriate and wrong," said König.

The BR had previously reported on his criticism of the poster.

The Nuremberg alliance Nazistopp also criticized the type of protest against the shop closings.
